Obituary for Lori Miltion

Lori Yvonne Uchiyama Milton of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, April 15th at the age of 38.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 23rd at 6:30 PM at the South Haven Community Building in South Haven, Kansas.

Lori was born on April 21, 1975, in Wichita, Kansas, to Karen Hull Nagel and Ryan Uchiyama. She was a new baby sister to Paul Newhouse.

Lori grew up in Kansas and Minnesota with many trips to visit her father in Maui, Hawaii. She attended both Wellington High School in Kansas and Randolph High School in Minnesota.

Lori married the love of her life, Cody Milton, on June 1, 2013. They bought a home together and lived happily in Blackwell, Oklahoma.

Lori worked in commercial insurance sales at the Albright Insurance Agency in Ponca City. She absolutely loved her job and adored her boss and co-workers. She was an active participant in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life.

Her interests included family, social activities with friends, motorcycle riding with her husband, and spoiling her dogs, Bandit and Roscoe.

Lori is survived by her husband Cody Milton of Blackwell, OK; her mother, Karen Hull Nagel of Wellington, KS; her father, Ryan Uchiyama of Maui, HI; her brother, Paul Newhouse of Dallas, TX; her best friend Terry Koehn of Wellington, KS; four nieces and a multitude of friends and extended family.

In honor of her love for people and animals, and in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Lori’s name to the American Cancer Society or your local Humane Society.
