Lois Parker

May 4, 1932 — December 29, 2024

Lois Ruth Parker (McNair), beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on December 29, 2024. Born on May 4, 1932, in Howard, Kansas, to Ruby Ruth and John Reid McNair, Lois lived a full and adventurous life, touching the hearts of everyone she met with her warmth, kindness, and unshakable happiness.

Lois proudly served her country in the United States Air Force during the 1950s in California and at the Pentagon, paving the way for a career that spanned various industries. After retiring from IBM following 18 years of dedicated service, she followed her entrepreneurial spirit and became the owner of Easy Street Sandwich and Oyster Bar in Phoenix, Arizona.

Lois married Clarence Parker in 2002 in Ponca City, OK, and together they shared many happy years. She was a devoted sister to her surviving siblings, Jim “Jimmy” Morton of Winfield, Kansas, and Amy Goggin of Phoenix, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Delores Schadegg, and her sisters, Louise Foudray and Joann Conover.

A longtime resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Lois and Clarence ran the Riverfront RV Park for over twenty years. They were proud members of the Ponca City Senior Citizen Center dance group, where her love of dancing brought joy to her and those around her. She was also a frequent traveler, having spent time living in New York City during her youth. Later in life, she became a regular at the casino, a pastime she embraced with characteristic enthusiasm and humor.

Lois was cherished by her many nieces and nephews, who will remember her as a constant source of love, generosity, and joy. Her infectious smile and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met, making her a friend to all.

Lois will be dearly missed by her husband, family, friends, and community, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Please join us to share memories and reminisce of the times we shared with Lois at a come and go gathering on Sunday January 12th from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at the Carolyn Renfro Event Center, Ryan’s Chapel 445 Fairview Avenue, Ponca City, OK.
