Lisa Stricklin Head

August 14, 1961 – January 30, 2022

Lisa Diane (Stricklin) Head, 60 of Olathe, Kansas went to be in God’s care, on Sunday, January 30, 2022. She passed away in her home in Olathe, KS. from extended health problems, including COVID; and from the sorrow and loss of her beloved husband, Michael Head, November 20, 2021.

Lisa is the daughter of K. Don and Naomi F (Crow) Stricklin. She was born in Blackwell General Hospital in Blackwell, OK. And attended Washington and Houston grade schools before the family was transferred to Roeland Park, KS in December, 1967.

Lisa graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in Prairie Village, KS. in 1978.

She married Michael Wayne Head on September 4, 1982 at Bethany Assembly of God in Kansas City, KS. There were no children to this union.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Michael Wayne Head of Olathe, KS; Her father, Don Stricklin, Overland Park, KS.; Grandparents Chester and Violet Crow, Nardin, OK.; and James Vester and Mable Stricklin, Blackwell, OK. Father and Mother-in-law Lowell O. and Ella F. Head of Chanute, KS. brothers-in-law, Raymond G. Head of Walnut, KS.; Lowell E. Head of Carthage, MO.; Paul E Head of Erie, KS; and nephew, Tyler W. Stich of Chanute KS.

She is survived by her mother, Naomi (Crow) Stricklin of Olathe, KS.; sister Vicki (Stricklin) Golden and husband Robert of Overland Park, KS; Niece Elisha (Golden) and Jeremy Heuton, (Kamryn & Attikus) Port Richey, FL.; Niece, Krystal (Golden) and Joel Grogan (Aria and Jade) Lenexa, KS. and Nephew Trevor and Jona Golden (Charleigh), Liberty, MO; Brother-in-law, Orland E. Head, Humboldt, KS, sisters-in- law, LeElla L. of St Charles, MO, Dollie K. of Glasco, MO. plus numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

Lisa was a devoted and loving wife and was care taker for her husband for the 5 years he dealt with MDS Leukemia. She not only coordinated all of his medicine and appointments but was extremely intelligent in the knowledge of his medications.

She worked for United Telephone Company starting in the Repair Center in Ferrelview, MO. She transferred to Midwest Group Headquarters in Overland Park, KS and Gardner, KS holding numerous positions; with her last position working in the Gardner, KS IT Department.

She was a loving daughter, sister, niece and aunt. She loved the Lord Jesus and He was a major part of her daily life attending the Pentecostal Church of Nardin, OK. during her elementary school years and spending her summers with family and friends in Nardin.

She was a collector of angels; brass; lava lamps; and antique glass ware. Lisa was known for her loving, generous and giving heart; making sure her family knew she loved them.

She enjoyed being with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
