Obituary for LeeOra Bruner

LeeOra Bruner, longtime Shidler area resident, passed March 6, 2015 in Oklahoma City. She was 87 years of age.

LeeOra was born January 1, 1928 in Wellsville, Kansas, the daughter of Lloyd Crain and Laura (Finch) Crain. She was a graduate of Russell, Kansas High School. She was married to Dwight Arlan Bruner on July 7, 1946 in Russell, Kansas.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Shidler and was a past volunteer on the local election board. Her enjoyments were her grandchildren, and in earlier years bowling and golf.

She is survived by her husband Dwight, of the home; her four children, Rex Bruner and wife Sherry of Winfield, Kansas, Guy Bruner and wife Janice of Eldon, Missouri, and twins Eddie Bruner and wife Jackie, of Choctaw, Oklahoma, and Becky Wentworth and husband Craig, of Fort Worth, Texas; 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Rex Crain and Buddy Crain; and daughter-in-law Mary Bruner.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the Grandview Cemetery in Kaw City. Rev. Doug Scott of the First Christian Church of Shidler will preside. Services are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.

Honorary casket bearers are Bill Eden, Richard Hammer, Leonard Williams, J.J. Gullic, Danny Alexander and Larry Alexander.
