June 22, 1951 – November 8, 2017

Kathleen A. “Kathy” Northcutt, age 66, lifelong resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at her home.

Friends and family may pay their respects at the funeral home from 12-8pm on Saturday, November 11, and from 1-8pm Sunday, November 12. A funeral ceremony to gratefully remember her life will be held at 10:00am Monday, November 13, 2017 in the Chapel at the First Baptist Church in Ponca City and Pastor Don Stanton of Faith Tabernacle Church officiating. Following the ceremony, she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Eddie in the mausoleum at Resthaven Memorial Park in Ponca City. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Kathy was born on June 22, 1951 to Jack Colberg and Virginia Mahnke Colberg Bowen in Ponca City, OK. She was raised in Ponca City, attending Ponca City High School in the late 1960s. Kathleen Colberg married Paul Edward “Eddie” Northcutt, Jr. on September 1, 1973 in the Chapel at the First Baptist Church in Ponca City. Kathy was a faithful partner for Eddie for nearly 43 years before his passing in 2016. She supported her family as a spiritual rock, providing a strong example of the Christian walk. Faith was a hallmark of her character, while she was not boisterous about it, she lived her faith while enjoying the fruits thereof. Family played a tremendous role in Kathy’s life. Her husband, children, and grandchildren were the most important people in her life, and they knew it. Even in challenging times, Kathy showed them the way to keep loving, even if it wasn’t easy.

Survivors include her beloved sons: Paul Northcutt and wife Lauri of Ponca City, Mike Lindsey and wife Kristin of Wichita, KS, Luke Northcutt and wife Becky of Ponca City, Walter Northcutt and wife Stephanie of Lakewood, CO, and Steven Whaley and wife Paige of Dallas, TX; cherished mother Virginia Bowen of Ponca City, brother: Ron Colberg and wife Carolyn of Ponca City, half-sister Bonnie Alexander and husband Carl of Houston, TX, grandchildren: Skylar Bybee, Braden Lindsey, Jaelyn Northcutt, Gracie Northcutt, Cooper Northcutt, Benjamin Northcutt, Isaiah Northcutt, and Collyn Northcutt as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father Jack Colberg and husband Eddie Northcutt.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kathy’s name may be made to the Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 445 Fairview, Ponca City, OK 74601.
