Obituary for Karrie Harrison

Karrie Jo Kekahbah Harrison, age 36, resident of Newkirk, OK, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014.

Karrie was born on December 3, 1977 to Billy Joe Kekahbah and Debra Sue (Harmon) Kekahbah in Tulsa. She was married to Dawn Harrison on September 15, 2001. From this union were born daughters Mary Jo, Hannah Sue and Gracie Ann.

Ever the joker, she loved to make people smile and enjoyed cutting up with others. Musical abilities were innate to Karrie, she played numerous instruments in her high school band. A beautiful landscape would often spur Karrie to snap a picture to later appreciate and share the experience with others. However, of the most importance were her three beloved daughters. Being a mother to them was her greatest joy.

She is survived by her cherished husband and daughters, of the home; her father of Broken Arrow; sister: Stacy Sonderegger and husband Sean of Broken Arrow; brother: Jake Durling of Germany; Grandfather: Paul Gilliam and wife Gwen of Berryville, AR.

Preceding Karrie in death was her mother; maternal grandmother, Mary Eunice Harmon; maternal grandfather, Dr. C.E. Harmon; and paternal grandmother Mary Bell Gilliam.

Memorial services are pending and will be announced at a future date. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
