Joseph Edward Johnson

July 22, 1947 – October 26, 2022

Joseph (Joe) Edward Johnson, age 75, of Perry, Oklahoma passed away October 26, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

A Mass of Christian Service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church at 10 A.M. with Father Bala officiating. A rosary will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 6 P.M. Joe will be laid to rest privately at Yukon Cemetery at a later date.

Joe was born on July 22, 1947 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Edward and Mary (Dobry) Johnson. He was raised in Oklahoma where he received all of his education. Joe attended elementary school at Christ the King in Oklahoma City and junior high in Woodward. He graduated from El Reno High School in 1965. He attended the University of Oklahoma for one year.

Over the years, Joe held many impactful jobs, but his most recent job was his favorite. Joe was a Conference Coordinator for the National Resource Center for Youth Services. Joe used his platform to reach several at risk youth and by doing so he was able to enrich the lives of many young men and women across the nation.

Survivors include: his brothers, Philip (Tina) Johnson of Milton, Florida and Mark (Kay) Johnson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister Anita (Phil) Musshafen of Perry, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Cotner and Mary Louise Johnson.
