John Boepple
October 5, 1946 – February 17, 2020
John Raymond Boepple, resident of Ponca City, passed away Monday, February 17, 2020. He was 73 years old. A memorial ceremony for John will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel, 505 W. Grand Ave., Ponca City, OK.
John was born on October 5, 1946 in Enid, Oklahoma to his parents, Raymond and Ruth Boepple. He grew up on a farm in Nash, Oklahoma graduating from Nash High School. He attended OSU in Stillwater graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry in 1968. He was a farmer for many years before working in the window and siding business. While farming, he helped do taxes for a local accountant. He married Sandra Hubbard on December 18, 1993 at the First Baptist Church Chapel in Ponca City. He owned and operated his own siding business in Ponca City, American Dream. John then worked for many years with Frontier Siding and Windows.
John was an outgoing person with a wonderful sense of humor and loved watching OSU sports and OKC Thunder Basketball. John and Sandy enjoyed playing duplicate bridge. He obtained the rank of Life Master and Sandy and he traveled around competing in bridge tournaments. John was a farmer at heart and enjoyed visiting his daughter on her farm at harvest time.
John is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sandy Boepple of Ponca City, son, Andrew Boepple and partner, Paul Pearson of New York, daughter, Mary Callahan and husband, Billy of Nashville, TN, daughter, Megan Ferda and husband, Paul of Medford, son, Johnny Rogers and wife, Kimberly of Enid, daughter, Danica Henderson and husband, Mark of Elk City, son, Doug Hubbard and wife, Dawn of Ft. Gibson, OK, son, Damon Hubbard and wife, Sue Ann of Gothenburg, NE, three sisters, Shirley Warnock of Wichita Falls, TX, Emma Henneke and husband, Calvin of Enid, OK, and Laquita Roberts and husband, Rick of Enid, OK, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
John was a loving father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by many friends and family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory in Ponca City, OK.
