Joan Isley of Ponca City passed away Sunday morning, August 13, 2017 in Ponca City, OK. She was 92 years of age. Joan was born on September 2, 1924 in Warrington England to Frank and Margaret Thomason Parker.
Visitation will be held in the Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City, OK Monday, August 14, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the family at the Funeral Home to greet friends and relatives from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City, OK.
Joan grew up in England and came to America as a young lady She married Ray R. Isley on September 29, 1948 in Bozeman, Montana and they made their home in Iowa. She worked several years for the Ace Hardware store in Perry, Iowa and they moved to Ponca City in 1999. Joan was known for her knitting and she knitted numerous caps for kids with Cancer.
Survivors include: her husband of 68 years Ray of the Home; 1 son; Tom Isley and wife Deb of Ohio. 2 daughters; Pam Moorhead and Dennis Fisher of Rose Bud, Arkansas and Wendy Clague of Ponca City, OK, Also surviving are 2 grandchildren: Jessica Neighbors and Eric Mavis and Emily Clague and Jordan Jaco, 1 Great grandchild; J.J. Neighbors and Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents and 9 Siblings.
