JUNE 18, 1957 ~ OCTOBER 25, 2019 (AGE 62)

Janet Lynn McFarland (Bennett) of Ponca City, Oklahoma passed away at Stillwater Medical Center on October 25, 2019 surrounded by her Family and Loved ones.

Janet was born in Fairfax, OK on June 18, 1957 to Bert and Mildred Bennett. She Graduated Ponca City Senior High School in 1975, later spent her career as a Cosmetologist in Ponca City sharing her many talents, eventually becoming the proud owner of Images Salon for a number of years, finishing her career at Liles & Co. where she retired. Janet married the love of her life on March 26, 1988 to John W. McFarland. Together they lived a life full of love and adventure, uplifting everyone they came across, many of whom were considered Family. Janet was fortunate to be able to use her talents to bring the best out in people, she had the ability to magnify the beauty not only on the outside but the inside as well, she had a way to pick up the pieces of the broken and make them even more beautiful. Her paintings were one way she expressed her love and compassion to our Lord and Savior. She always had the ear to listen and the shoulder to cry on, you knew she always had you covered by her prayers. She will truly be missed.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents Bert Daniel Bennett and Mildred Magdaline Conklin-Bennett, Mother in-law Mary Ann McFarland and Brother David Daniel Bennett.

Janet is Survived by her Husband John W. McFarland and her Children Jeremy Hollingsworth of Ponca City, OK; Mendy Hollingsworth of Wichita, KS; Lauren Donahue and Spouse Skyler Donahue of Surprise, AZ; Janet had 10 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchild that she loved dearly: Daylynn Nixon-Wilkerson, Shaylee Hollingsworth, Garrett Hollingsworth, Wyatt Hollingsworth, Emma Hollingsworth, Alana Dannon, Sabrina Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Makiya Johnson, Tarrant Johnson; Great Grandchildren Magdaline and Abel; Janet is also survived by her Sister Lisa McKnight and her spouse Ray McKnight of Perkins, OK; Sister In-Law Teresa Harris and her Spouse Sylvan Harris of Ponca City, Ok; Father in-law Herbert McFarland of Ponca City, OK; many nieces and nephews and countless friends and extended family. She was Loved by so many.

Services will be held at Life Springs Family Worship center, 621 W. Grand Ave. Ponca City, OK; on Sunday November 3, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Memorial donations maybe made in Janet’s name to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma 445 Fairview Ponca City, OK 74601.
