Patricia Jane White, formerly of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Tuesday, May 15, 2018, in the Golden Rule Nursing Home in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 85 years.
Patricia Jane White was born on November 12, 1932, in Quanah, Texas, to Arthur Burch and Ola Janette Gilliam. She grew up in Quanah and graduated from Quanah High School in 1950. She married Kenneth Allen White on April 29, 1951, in Quanah and they settled in El Dorado, Oklahoma, where she served her family as a homemaker. Following her husband discharge from the military, they moved to Dallas, Texas, for a short time before moving to Shawnee, Oklahoma, where she worked for a bank in Maud and for O. G. & E. In 1966 they moved to Prague where she worked at a convenience store. In 1974 they moved to Blackwell where she worked at Oklahoma Investment Castings Corporation and in 1981 they returned to Prague to make their home and she worked for H. and R. Block as a receptionist. In 2009 they returned to Blackwell. Her husband preceded her in death on April 27, 2014. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blackwell. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing, raising alpacas, and her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Danette Marrs and husband Scott of Katy, Texas, and Danna Johnson of Blackwell; a son, Russell White and wife Sherry of Prague; five grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Margret Nichols; and two brothers, James and Charles Arthur Gilliam.
An evening service in Blackwell is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 17th in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Ratliff officiating.
A service in Prague is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 18th in the Garden Grove Baptist Church in Prague with Rev. Robert Foos officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden Grove Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Jeremy White, Joshua White, Jerord Johnson, Chad McCleary, Kadyn McCleary and Derry Johns. Honorary casketbearers will be Bryce McCleary, Jake Johnson, Levi Johnson and Rocky Wood.
A memorial has been established in her honor with the First Baptist Church in Blackwell in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
