Obituary for James Kincheloe

James Verle Kincheloe of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Saturday morning, October 5, 2013, in the Integris Medical Center, Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 76 years.
James Verle Kincheloe was born on August 25, 1937, in Anthony, Kansas, to Jewel Velmont and Gertrude Irene (Bishop) Kincheloe. His family moved to Blackwell in 1943. He attended and graduated from the Blackwell Public Schools with the Class of 1957. He married Karen Sue Cline on August 23, 1957, in the Blackwell First Christian Church. After graduating, he worked for Boeing for two years, Acme Foundry for twenty-eight years, the City of Blackwell for three years, and then retired from Kay Electric Cooperative, as a warehouseman, in 2003. He enjoyed playing softball and coached a ladies softball team named the “Untouchables”. He loved to fish, have fish fry’s with his family, Oklahoma University football and Nascar. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his classmates at class reunions. He was a member of the Elks club and the First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Karen Sue Kincheloe of Blackwell, Oklahoma; three daughters, Julie Kelle and husband Mark of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Jamie Eckert of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Jennifer Holman and husband Coy of Blackwell, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clyde Keeble, Bobby Keeble, and Max Kincheloe; one sister, Betty Smith; and two granddaughters, Taylor Eckert and Brady Eckert.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church, Blackwell, Oklahoma, with Rev. Pam Cottrill officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Mathew Farney, Ryan Butcher, Brandon Bowling, Jeremy Bowling, Bryan Miller and Nick Marten.
Honorary casketbearers will be the great grandchildren of James Kincheloe.
A memorial in his honor has been established with Muscular Dystrophy Association in honor of his great grandson Ki Bowling c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 West Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
