James Raymond Buster, 82, of Ponca City, OK, left this life on December 2, 2024. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 6, 2024, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.

James was born on June 17, 1942, in Nowata, OK, to James and Violet (Barnes) Buster. He graduated from high school in Galveston, TX, then attended Coffeyville Community College before graduating from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK.

James enjoyed softball (Sweat Hogs), tennis, golf, and was an avid OU fan. He loved riding motorcycles, muscle cars (GTO), yard work, music, and walking. He also enjoyed playing the trumpet. He retired from Conoco at 50 years of age in 1992.

James is survived by: his wife, Sharon; daughters, Lori Hoskinson and husband, Wally, of Ponca City, OK, Juli Oakley and husband, Wayne; grandsons, Matt Larimer and Nicole Myers, Jeffrey Larimer and wife, Ashley; granddaughter, Lauren Streeter; great-grandchildren, Tristen & Trinity Larimer, Kaicen, Lanie, Everleigh, and Kinzleigh Larimer, and Hunter and Gage Cales.
