Jake William Johndrow

August 20, 1994 – December 8, 2017

William Jake Johndrow was born on August 20, 1994 and passed away on December 8, 2017. Jake was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma, where he continued to live for 23 years. Jake attended the First Lutheran School for his early education and graduated from Ponca City High School in 2013. During his youth, he participated in many sports and activities. He later attended and graduated from Pioneer Technology Center and Northern Oklahoma College. Jake had many talents and skills that he used while working as a welder, plumber, and a general laborer. He also served as a volunteer firefighter in several communities. Jake was not afraid of getting his hands dirty and taking on almost any project. Jake loved to travel and go places. Some of his fondest memories were from long road trips across the United States and travel abroad with his family. He also enjoyed almost anything outdoors and loved living and playing in the country. Jake was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his parents, Grant and Cindy Johndrow; brother and sister-in-law, Ross and Rebecca Johndrow; and his girlfriend, Paisley Kistler. Other survivors include grandparents Jack and Carol Wilkins, many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends. Jake was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Garna Cain, great-grandparents, Eldon and Earlene Johndrow, and George and Lonieda Totusek. c

A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, 218 South 6th Street, Ponca City, OK 74601, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel in Ponca City. Memorial contributions may be made to Kay County Young Life for camp scholarships or Pioneer Technology Center for education scholarships through the Jake Johndrown Memorial Fund, FNBOK c/o Caskey Pruitt, 1501 East Prospect, Ponca City, OK 74604.
