Jacquelyn Nadine (Atkins) Deere

March 16, 1949 ~ January 14, 2021 (age 71)

Jacquelyne Nadine (Atkins) Deere. Passed away on January 14, 2021in Oklahoma City at the age of 71. She entered life in Pawnee, Oklahoma on March 16, 1949. Her parents are Baxter Davis and Virgie Rachel (Wildbird) Atkins.

She grew up in Red Rock. She attended Haskell Indian Nations University where she met my dad Larry Deere. Later she attended N.O.C, where she earned an associate degree in water quality with state certifications.

“Jack” or “Jackie” worked at various places in her life. IHS in Oklahoma City, warehouse work, worked for Oklahoma City, animal department, and went to truck driving school. After completion, she drove a truck cross country picking up and delivering 18 wheelers nationwide, then drove out of Dallas up the west coast, back to Dallas and to the east coast to Dallas. She decided to come home. She was a mother of three children: Robert “Cory “, Jaime “J.R.”, and Tema.

“Jackie” was a fixer around the house, she had a love for people, very caring, giving. Always helping anywhere. Her and Larry were the ones, who would be helping at car accidents. They were always together, and she loved to be on the road travelling. Always going somewhere. Later in life, her and Larry were on the road going again, this time on mission trips, helping on different reservation. Wherever there was a need, they would go. She taught the bible to all ages and helped start churches and along the way made longtime friends. She will be remembered for these works of love. There are many other things about her, such as a love for basketball, reading the bible, gospel music, Billy Graham, and black and white cows.

Jackie is survived by her children: Cory and his wife Amanda, Jaime and his wife Lisa and Tema and her husband Kiet Nguyen. Grandchildren: Joshua Deere, Abigail Deere, Amber Deere Johnathan Deere, Jordan Deere, Jackson Deere, Deacon Deere, Aimee Nguyen, Philip Nguyen, and Alex Nguyen. Sibling are Mickie Oulds, Lillian Atkins, and Vergil Atkins. As well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Jackie is preceded in death by her parents: Baxter and Virgie Atkins, brothers: Vernon Atkins, Gilbert Atkins, Aaron Atkins, And Wilson Atkins, and sister Alberta Kirn.

Wake service with Pastor Kevin Fox will be at Otoe Baptist Church 7 pm Sunday night. Monday visitation till 2 pm. Funeral service with pastor Matt Tiger… then follow to cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jaime Deere, Rock Pipestem, Shawn Kirn, Orrin Atkins, Philip and Alex Nguyen, Jackson and Deacon Deere.
