Glynn Cox
June 7, 1931 – February 15, 2018
Glynn E. Cox passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018 in Ponca City. He was 86 years old. Glynn was born on June 7, 1931 in Enid, Oklahoma to William and Hazel (Beavers) Cox. On June 5, 1955, Glynn married Phannie “Faye” Stewart in Enid. The couple lived in Enid, Tulsa, and Oklahoma City before settling in Osage County. Glynn was a terminal manager and was a truck driver for Rocket, C & P Transport, ANR Transportation and Walmart. Glynn was accompanied by his wife when he drove for Head Country Food Products and finally retired in 2013.
Before retirement the couple enjoyed camping, boating, and riding motorcycles.
Glynn was preceded in death by his wife, Faye, his parents, and one brother, Lorraine Cox.
He is survived by his children, Allen Cox of Ponca City and Vickie Clark of Ponca City grandchildren, Chris Hoddy, Dustin Hoddy, Austin, Hoddy, Brook Hoddy, Bryce Hoddy, and one great-grandson, Parker Hoddy.
A funeral ceremony to remember Glynn will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Sweetman presiding. Following the ceremony, he will be laid to rest next to his wife at the Enid Cemetery in Enid, Oklahoma. Glynn’s family will be available to greet friends on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Trout Funeral Home and friends may come by the funeral home from 8:00 a.m to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.
Pallbearers will be: Chris Hoddy, Austin Hoddy, Michael Hall, Russell Cox, Brad Alllensworth, and John Allensworth.
Honorary pallbearer: Bill Selby.
