Obituary for Glynda Wilson

Glynda Lee Smith Wilson resident of Ponca City, passed away February 8, 2015 in Wichita, Kansas. She was 61.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 am Friday, February 13, 2015 at Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Adam Phillips officiating from Free Will Baptist. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Casketbearers will be Byron and Rex Tribble, Larry Smith and Bill Underwood.
Glynda was born December 19, 1953 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Elvis Earl Smith and Jimmie Evelyn Underwood Smith. She attended Washington grade school and East Junior High in Ponca City, then graduated from high school in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Glynda served as a personal assistant to people within this community, and attended the First Baptist Church with her family for many years. She loved animals and was always willing to take one in and care for it and give it a home if it needed one.
She was married to Steve Vuletich and later to Scott Wilson who preceded her in death.
Glynda is survived by her sister, Marsha Smith of Miami, FL; Aunt Ollie Mae Rogers Graham and husband Gerry of Bartlesville; Aunt Mildred Smith and Aunt Mary Campbell of Ponca City and Uncle Jep Smith and wife Joyce of Center Point, TX. Cousins, Byron Tribble, Rex and Patti Tribble, Irene Tribble Fabian, Karen Smith Hunter and husband Keith, and Larry Smith and wife Charlotte. Other cousins are Manus Kipling Smith of Wewoka, Jim Rogers and wife Jan, of Cincinnati, OH; and Roger K. Smith and wife Lisa of Farmington, MN. Everett Underwood of Tulsa; Mary Ann Underwood Sneed of Perry; and Bill Underwood Jr. of Atlanta, GA. Jo Childers and Jan Stevenson of Center Point, TX, .
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Marshall Mattison and Ida Saxon Campell Smith, maternal grandparents, Thomas Lee Underwood and Bessie Patterson Underwood Taylor. Her aunts and uncles Marshall Mattison Smith II, Manus Smith and wife Johnnie, Robert K. Smith Everett Underwood, Bill Underwood Sr. and Onetta Underwood Gargiulo, and long time friend John Test.
