George B. Henderson

October 19, 1922 – July 2, 2016

George Bartram ‘Bart' Henderson, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016, in Houston.

He was born on October 19, 1922, in Coffeyville, Kansas. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Mae Vickers Henderson. They were married for 62 years. Mr. Henderson retired from Continental Oil Company in 1987, after 38 years of service.

He is survived by two sons: Michael G. Stratton (Cindy) of Wichita, Kansas, and H. Bart Henderson (Linda) of Houston, Texas.

Other survivors include: sister in law, Linda Powelson of Ponca City; Nieces and nephews: Nancy Taylor of Ponca City; Larry Vickers (Patty) of Fort Worth, Texas; Nancy Siler (Jimmy) of Blackwell, Oklahoma; Sean Grigsba (Julie) of Ponca City, Oklahoma; Robb Taylor (Mandi Hickman), of Tulsa; and Ryan Taylor (Mandy), of Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Graveside Services will be Saturday, July 9, 2016, 10:30 am, at the IOOF Cemetery, Ponca City. Arrangements are being handled by Grace Memorial Chapel, Ponca City.
