Obituary for Gene Randolph

Gene Randolph, resident of Kaw City, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, July 22,2014 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He was 73.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014, at 2:00 pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kaw City.

Gene was born August 12, 1940 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Carl and Doris (Stokesberry) Randolph. He married Belva Jackson on March 18, 1960. Shortly after getting married they moved to California where he began his career in law enforcement for the Los Angeles police department. He retired as a homicide detective in 1992, and moved back to his hometown in Kaw City, OK. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, grafting trees, hunting, fishing, and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years and earned his 32nd degree.

Gene was a man of God. He and his wife Belva were active members of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kaw City for over 20 years.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Doris Randolph; two brothers, Jack and Gerald Randolph.

He is survived by his wife Belva of the home; daughter, Tammy Reed and husband Lee of Foraker, Oklahoma; son, Carl Randolph of Fullerton, California; and granddaughters, Teresa Beland and husband Tim of Denver, Colorado, Kristi Dobbs and husband Nelson of Moore, Oklahoma, Shannon Sawyer and husband Adam, of Edmond, Oklahoma; grandsons, Tanner Reed of Foraker, Oklahoma, Dustin Reed and wife Tanya of Foraker, Oklahoma; great granddaughters, Addyson Dobbs of Moore, Oklahoma, Emma Reed of Burbank, Oklahoma; sister, Carol Sue Daily of Ponca City, Oklahoma. Numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made in his name to Oak Grove Baptist Church, PO Box 96, Kaw City, OK 74641.
