Francis LeClair

January 10, 1976 — November 18, 2024

Francis Terrance LeClair, 48, born on January 10th, 1976, to Franklin Delano and Estelle Diane Ray-Smith Leclair, went home to be with our Lord and Savior in the heavenly gardens above on November 18, 2024. He went to sleep and left us with no problems as we all wish, no pain, no regrets and all his love.

Francis has had many friends throughout his long life. He had many friends in the jobs he had, from working at Smith Bits here in Ponca City, Wrangler, and Ponca Tribe when he was an officer. He loved playing frisbee golf, golf with his brothers, of course watching O-State Football and his retired GOAT, Tom Brady. His passions included cooking for his family, his beloved Amy, and his sons. He enjoyed watching cooking shows to be the chef. Other enjoyments included bowling, music, and his shows on conspiracy theories.

Francis was a lifelong resident of Ponca City. He leaves behind many friends, Thomas, Thomas Jr., and Eric, to name just a few. He leaves behind his love at home Amy McPherson; his sons Tristan LeClair, Eason LeClair, Nicholas Dunn, and Marissa Dunn. He also leaves behind his brothers J.R. and Jim with sister Diane (Dosie), Belinda (Beda), Sue, and his momma Estelle.

He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin LeClair Sr., uncles Jesse, Arlington Sr., Harry Ray; his aunts Iris, Eleanor, and all grandparents. They await his arrival in our heavenly lands.

The family deeply appreciates the Otoe-Missouria Tribe of Indians and the Tribal Council for letting the family have the funeral services at the Otoe-Missouria Tribal Cultural Building. The first night will be for family and friends in our Pueblo of Laguna traditions. All are welcome to talk, visit, and tell stories. Services on Wednesday will begin at 7pm. Thursday we will take Francis to rest near family at the Ponca Tribal Cemetery with services at 2pm after the noon feast.
