Elaine Eleanor (Eagle) Primeaux, 63, passed away in Ponca City, Oklahoma on May 30, 2023.

Elaine was born on August 4, 1959, in Pawnee, Oklahoma, to Hebert Russell Eagle and Esther (Hardman) Eagle. She attended school in Ponca City and was a member of the Ponca Tribe. Later she went to work for Conoco and maintained employment for around 17 years in janitorial services with the company. She also enjoyed working with the Hope Recovery Center at the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma as she continued her life in sobriety.

Elaine was a beautiful soul with a good heart. In her spare time, she loved to read romantic novels, color, and do puzzles. One of her joys was collecting dolls, especially porcelain dolls. She could be found listening to several various types of music, especially the oldies, including her favorites Mary J. Blige, Percy Sledge, Temptations, Al Green, and Elvis.

She loved to travel to the Osage Casino and play the Red Ball and Lottery Ball machines. She always took care of her children and later her grandchildren, did her best to make a way for them, and supported them through life’s obstacles. Her loving support will be missed, and her legacy cherished. Elaine is preceded in death by her parents Hebert and Esther, her husband, Curtis P. Primeaux, Sr., siblings Simon Eagle, Lee Eagle, Elliot Eagle, and Adrianna Eagle.

Elaine is survived by her siblings, Manual Eagle, Melinda Eagle, and Lance Eagle. Her children, Curtis Jr. and Francis Primeaux; Robert Primeaux Sr.; Herbert Primeaux Sr; Elision Primeaux; Cara (Primeaux) and Mark Roy Sr.; Earnastine and Brandon Pewo; Joy Echo Primeaux; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A prayer service will be held at Grace Memorial Chapel on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 12:30 p.m. Graveside Services will follow at the Ponca Indian Tribal Cemetery south of Ponca City at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jimmy White officiating.
