Obituary for Donna Phillips

Donna Gay Phillips, longtime resident of Ponca City, passed Tuesday, December 3, 2013 in Ponca City. She was 59 years of age.
Donna was born February 26, 1954 in Ponca City, the daughter of Sebron Max Jackson and Ruth Nadine (Hoogendoorn) Jackson. She attended the Ponca City Public Schools. Donna’s past employments had included Titus, Peachtree Landing, Tyson Foods, and Mid-American Door. She also had spent time as a caregiver at area nursing homes. Her enjoyments included her granddaughter Kinsley, playing cards with friends, yelling at her cat Blackie, watching Paranormal Activity and Teen Wolf T.V. shows and she loved scary movies.
She is survived by two daughters, Laura Greer and husband Justin, and Laina Rhoades and husband Dusty, all of Ponca City; one sister, Karen Edmonds and husband Charles, of Marland; two brothers, Darryl Jackson of Ponca City and Robert Jackson and wife Vera, of Roseland, Louisiana; one granddaughter, Kinsley Greer; other extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mike Phillips; one sister, Janis Jackson and one infant son, Joey.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2013 at Grace Memorial Chapel. Hospice Chaplain Mike Sweetman will be the presiding minister.
