Donna June McMartin of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at her home at the age of 67 years.
Donna June McMartin was born on June 3, 1951, in Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey, to D. C. and Virginia Jean (Eckert) Brewer. As a young girl she lived in many places as her father was stationed in the United States Army, including Japan and Venezuela. In 1968, the family moved to Blackwell where she graduated Blackwell High School in 1969. She furthered her education by attending Oklahoma Baptist University and Northern Oklahoma College. Following her education she began working as an aide for the Blackwell General Hospital for nine years. She married Freddie Ray McMartin on December 21, 1978, in Blackwell and she served her family as a homemaker. She later began working in the cafeteria at Huston School for several years and provided popcorn for many elementary children. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blackwell. She enjoyed sewing and quilting for her family.
She is survived by her mother, Virginia Brewer of Blackwell; a son, Neal McMartin of Blackwell; four daughters, Shawna Stuckey and husband David of Pleasant Gap, Pennsylvania, Deanna DeLodge and husband Dwight of Ada, Marti Jones and husband Jeremy of Blackwell and Katrina Presnal of Ponca City; two sisters, Beverly Smith of Jay and Karen Gonzalez and husband Isaiah of Blackwell; ten grandchildren, Alex and Nick Stuckey of Pleasant Gap, Pennsylvania, Genesis, Ava and Dexter DeLodge of Ada, Rachel Brown and husband Blake of Ponca City, Hannah Cope of Ponca City, and Madalyn, Virginia and Abigail Jones of Blackwell; and a great grandchild, Corbin Brown of Ponca City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; her father, D. C.; and a granddaughter, Amilia Jones.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., on Monday, October 1st in the First Baptist Church in Blackwell with Rev. Randy Ratliff officiating.
A memorial has been established in her honor with the First Baptist Church in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
