Donna Loveall

August 28, 1945 — October 24, 2024

Donna Jean Chappell Robinson Loveall

The birds are humming, and the angels are singing Lord I’m coming home as all her family and friends will be there to greet her when she arrives at her final resting place. It will be a glorious reunion.

Donna Jean Chappell Robinson Loveall was born August 28, 1945, in Blackwell, Oklahoma and passed away October 24, 2024, in Newkirk, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Homer and Margaret Chappell. Donna had one sister, Sandra Sue, and one brother Larry Michael. Donna moved to Shidler when she was 2 weeks old and spent all her school years there. During those school years she was very active in sports and music. Donna started playing basketball in the 5th grade and all the way through her first year of college. During her junior year of high school, she was named the “Outstanding Player of The Year”. During her senior year she was rated 6th in the C- Division, scoring over 23 points per game. An outstanding memory from her senior year was when she played in the Regional Tournament in Skiatook. The coach decided to take the girls in 3 cars because they would be leaving at the same time school got out. On their way to Skiatook the 3rd car got a flat tire, the middle car went back and helped them change it in between Pawhuska and Hominy. After getting back on the road the second car got a flat themselves between Hominy and Skiatook. The girls from the second climbed into the now rather crowded third car and they took off once again as they were running low on time. Luckily, they arrived in Skiatook with 5 minutes left to get dressed and be on the court ready to play. Not only did they make it on to the court to play, but they also won the game. For the next game they made sure to take a bus, however they lost the game by 4 points. It wasn’t a double elimination; they were heart broken. It was the only game they lost that year.

Donna started playing Piano in the 5th grade as well. She played so often that she was made to move the piano into her bedroom, so everyone else could listen to the television in the main room. She won many awards at the district and state levels. She played in a high school band called “The Blue Notes” and played percussion in the school band.

After one year in college, she married William “Sonny” Lewis Robinson, Jr. and to this marriage they had 2 sons, William Lewis Robinson III, and Michael Todd Robinson. They lived in Foraker and Donna worked on a ranch called the Grandega Ranch, before returning to Shidler Schools to work as the secretary to the high school principal for 13 years. During her years as a secretary, she played the piano for many students. Many of them went on to make it to the state and district levels with their music. While at the school she bought her own digital piano which she dearly loved. Donna played for the First Christian Church in Shidler, Random Road Christian Church in Arkansas City, Kansas, and Bible Christian Church in Arkansas City, Kansas and many more activities. She loved her piano.

Donna had many jobs while also working at the school. She kept score at the home basketball games, part time at the Country Store, and had a paper route with her best friend Sue Sharp. She worked part time at Walmart until 1990 and then worked full time until 2017 when she retired.

In 1987 she married Loren “Manny” Loveall. They lived in Shidler where Manny preached until they moved to Newkirk in 1999.

Donna loved meeting all the people that walked and shopped in Walmart. She made many new friends in her 27 years as an employee.

She is survived by one son, Michael Todd Robinson (Kim Hoffman), her daughter-in-law Kerri Robinson; grandchildren, Chance Robinson, Beth Herr (Tanner), Magan Begler (Matt), Kadi Irvin (Josh), Logan Robinson, Macee Robinson, Cooper Robinson, Melissa Fields, Michelle Darling (Cody), Merrick Hall (Nick); her step children, Sam Loveall (Maryls), Lora Core (Mark), Margaret Loveall, Andrew Loveall; step grandchildren, Mara and James Core, Robert and Johnathan Loveall, Evan Loveall; great grandchildren, Talon, Case, Demi Darling, Cash Fields, Kade and Kasen Hall, Maddox and Mickael Begler, Heath William Herr, Asher and Nolan Irvin; brother-in-law, Doug Scott; nephews, Jeffery Scott, Joe Degenhardt, Tim Scott; niece, Jennifer Scott; special cousin, Patsy Smalley (Bill); as well as many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
