Donna L. (Brown) Good, lifetime Ponca City resident, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Odd Fellows Cemetery with Reverend Linda Sherry of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.
Donna L. Good was born March 18, 1935 in Ponca City, OK to George Leslie Brown and Elva M. Brown. She grew up attending schools in Ponca City, graduating from Ponca City High School in 1953. After graduating, she worked at Conoco for a short time before meeting and marrying Dr. John R. Good on September 10, 1954 at First Presbyterian Church. Donna was a homemaker and receptionist at Ponca Animal Hospital where John practiced for over 50 years. Faith, family, and community were all very important to Donna. Over the years, she was very active in the First Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deacon. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life. She was an excellent golfer and very athletic. Donna enjoyed boating, camping, and in her younger years, loved horseback riding.
She is survived by her daughter Dr. Lisa Good Sanders and husband Mark of Ponca City, OK, grandchildren Leslie Sanders, Carrie Costliow and husband Zach, Kyle Kassen and wife Ilse and their daughter Sophie Kay, Hayley Beth Martin and husband Ben and their son Paxton John, and Carl Sensintaffar, who she considered a son and his wife Terri, sister Jeanie Anthon and husband Bruce, brother Jerry Brown, special friend Jim Stevenson, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents George and Elva, her husband Dr. John R. Good, son John L. “Buzzy” Good, daughter Cheryl Kay Kassen, and brother Leslie “Dean” Brown.
The family will greet friends at Trout Funeral Home on Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Please respect the family’s wishes by wearing a mask if attending.
