Dewey Everett Rath passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in Oklahoma City. He was 73 years old. Dewey was born on July 19, 1944 in Ponca City. He married Brenda Joyce Hume in 1962 in Ponca City. Dewey was a tractor mechanic and worked on all types of farm equipment.

Dewey is survived by his wife, Brenda Rath, children, Kim Bibbs and husband Anthony, Darren Rath, Greg Rath and partner Justina, brother, Johnny Rath and wife Tammy, sisters, Ruth Thompson, Carla Clingon, and Joan R., grandchildren, Brad Saylor and wife Emilie, Stacy Saylor and wife Ginny, and Justin Saylor and wife Michelle, Cory Rath, Rebecca Rath, Mike Rath, Colton Rath, Jacob Rath, and Jordan Rath, 7 great-grandchildren, multiple nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary, Barbara Easley, Elizabeth Grace, and Nancy Isreal.

Friends and family may come by Trout Funeral Home & Crematory to pay their respects on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. A graveside ceremony for Dewey will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Longwood Cemetery in Ponca City with Pastor Chris Short presiding.

Casket bearers will be: Justin Saylor, Brad Saylor, Coren Rath, Colton Rath, Jacob Rath, and Greg Rath.
