Obituary for Deonna Ailey

Deonna Leta Ailey, resident of Ponca City, OK, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Ponca City Medical Center. She was 67.
The service will be held at Second Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Kyle Megenity, Youth Minister, Northeast Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City, OK . Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
Deonna was born on to William E. Dunn and Leta (Sneed) Dunn in Hominy, OK on August 30, 1946. She grew up in Cleveland , OK where she attended school and played the piano in several state competitions and was Cleoma Queen, graduating in 1964. She was married to Mike Ailey on May 6, 1965 at the First Baptist Church in Tonkawa, OK. She worked in the Key Punch/Data Processing department for Conoco from 1964 until 1990.
She loved reading, crosswords, gardening, and feeding the birds at the farm in Pawnee where they had lived for the past 15 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. In her earlier years enjoyed playing the piano, crocheting, and cross stitch.
Deonna is survived by husband, Mike Ailey of the home and two daughters; Michelle Ailey, and Melissa and husband John Sisney; grandchildren; Vanessa Ailey, Wyatt and Dancie Sisney all of Ponca City; and numerous other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Kevin William Ailey, and a brother Nolan William Dunn .
Casketbearers will be John Sisney, Wyatt Sisney, Tom Freeman, Jared Freeman, Bob Ailey, Ray Provinsal. Honorary Casketbearers will be Vanessa Ailey and Dancie Sisney.
