Obituary for Debra Troxell

Debra Troxell passed away at home on July 21st, 2014. She was 55.

Debbi was born September 21st, 1958 to Warren W. and Norma L. Bell Troxell in Ponca City. She attended Ponca City Schools and Oklahoma State University where she was a member of the Cowboy Marching Band, Spirit Band, and Jazz Band.

Debbi was a Certified Hotel Administrator and worked as a regional manager in South Central Kansas and Branson Missouri. She was a member of the Ark City Chamber Board, Leadership Ark City, Kansas Hotel Association Board, Cowley County Domestic Violence Board, Ark City Convention and Visitors Bureau Board, and Branson Area Receptors.

Debbi returned to Ponca City and worked briefly at Conoco then started an 18 year career with Cable One. She won numerous awards with the company including Rookie of the Year and Salesperson of the year. She loved her clients and enjoyed the friendships with them.

Debbi was past Chairperson of the Give Ponca the Business Committee, Community Wide Holiday Giveaway, Ambassador of the Year, Chamber Board of Directors, Poncan Theater Board, PC Main Street Board, Vietnam Veterans memorial Committee, Ponca City Convention and Visitors Bureau, Ponca City Schools Friends of Education, Professionals Today three time member of the year, and Cherokee Strip Cook-Off chairman. Debbi is survived by her two sons Blake Reed and wife Jessica of Tonkawa and Dalton Fell of Ponca City, her 6 grandchildren, Jim and Judy Maynard of Ponca City, Clyde and Debbie Bateman of Alabama, Jimmy and Susan Bateman of Ponca City, Steven and Penny Keller of Ponca City, Tom Bateman of Pryor, Ron and Charlotte Maas of California, and her numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

At Debbi’s request no services will be held however a memorial celebration will be scheduled and arranged by her family at a later date. In lieu of flowers or food the family asks that a donation be made in her name to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma.
