Debra Rae Szczygiel

March 20, 1981 – November 29, 2023

Debra Rae Szczygiel, born March 20, 1981 in Oceanside, California, passed away November 29, 2023, in a house fire with her daughter, Lilly.

Debbie was a resident of Englewood, Colorado and had recently relocated to Red Rock, Oklahoma.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Ramona Mary Szczygiel. She is survived by her brother, Matthew (Mona) Szczygiel and her nephews, Matthew Jr and Anthony Szczygiel.

Debbie loved singing at her church in Colorado and at family gatherings. She was always helping those in need, even when she needed help herself. Debbie had a heart of gold and she will be deeply missed by those that loved her most.

A local memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 7 p.m. at Otoe Baptist Church in Red Rock, Oklahoma.

A second service will be held in Englewood, Colorado on December 15, 2023 for immediate family and close friends at Debra’s longtime church.
