October 10, 1958 – November 3, 2022
Dale Alan Oard of Blackwell, Oklahoma, surrounded by his family, passed into His Heavenly House, on November 3, 2022, in the Integris Health Hospital in Edmond, Oklahoma at the age of 64.
Dale was born on October 10, 1958, in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Marilyn McCulley Oard and Billy Joe Oard. He attended Blackwell Public Schools and graduated from Blackwell High School in May 1976. He later attended Northern Oklahoma College and received his Associates degree.
Dale was a member of the First Christian Church where he learned to love his Savior and Lord.
Dale loved Oklahoma State University and followed many of their sports. He also volunteered with various organizations in Kay County and Blackwell. He was a member of the Blackwell Jaycee’s, KASA, and city park committees. He was also a volunteer for Hospice of North Central Oklahoma fundraising events.
He worked at the Blackwell Smelter, Conoco Refinery, and RubberMade. Most of all, Dale loved working on the family Bicentennial Landrun Farm Stead in Braman. He owned and operated several businesses, a lawn care business and All Star Advertising and Promotions.
Dale married the love of his life, Kimberly Anne Knepper on December 13, 2014. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and many cousins.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Oard, of the home; son, Dewey and Wife Kathryn Oard, and grandchildren, Calysta and Merrick; Jonathan and wife Dedra Knepper, and granddaughters, Kristen Knepper, and Brittanee Knepper and partner Tracy Mraw; Brian and wife Brittany O’Dell, and grandchildren, Constance O’Dell and Maddox O’Dell; daughters, Lori Navarrete and partner Jeremy Bristow, and grandsons, Braydn Lute, Lundyn Lute, Tayln Lute, Keighyn Lute and Aidyn Lute; Amy and husband Cole Chandler; Shanna and husband Stetson Sisco, and grandchildren, Daylen Petty, and Evelynn Freeman; Bethany Avila and partner Brandon Jackson, and granddaughter, Alexa Avila (who was the first to call call him grandpa – and was teased by Grandpa as his Triple A (AAA). He is also survived by Aunt Margie Oard, Aunt Rosemary, and Jack Pierce; cousins, “Aunt Jacque” Graham, Marilyn Kay Griffin, Eleonore McCully Johnson, Gloria Carr, Karine and husband Jerry Stout, Julia Miracle, Pamela and husband Bob Bersche, Peggy Burnett, Dan and Marva Oard and Tracy and Cindy Oard; as well as best friend Kevin Hollar and wife Carol.
A celebration of Dale’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2022, at the First Christian Church in Blackwell with Rev. Jeff Koch officiating.
Burial will take place in the Blackwell Cemetery at a later date.
