February 26, 1957 – October 7, 2017
Corbett WalkingSky, 60, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX following a brief illness.
He leaves his wife of 40 years, Della (Beaver) WalkingSky; his daughters Vera WalkingSky-Moreno and husband Jose’ Moreno Jr; DeeAnne WalkingSky and husband Raymond Williamson Jr; Alexandra WalkingSky and fiance’ Corey Collins; and Lesley Walkingsky; Aunt Molly WalkingSky; Sister Cecelia Preslopski and husband Alexander; Brother Preston WalkingSky and wife Jewel; Sister Dorthea Blueback; Brother Woolsey WalkingSky and wife Marilyn; Sister Kay WalkingSky; Brother Paul White and wife Valerie; Granddaughter Dezaray Williamson. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
The son of the late Owen and Pearl(White) WalkingSky. Preceded in death by brother Alexander WalkingSky, and sister Vera WalkingSky.
Born on February 26, 1957 in Enid,Oklahoma, raised in Ponca City. He was a proud member of the Ponca Nation of Oklahoma.
Corbett graduated from Chilocco High School in 1975. He went on to receive his Associates Degree from Haskell Indian Junior College in Automotive Mechanics in 1977. He met his wife, Della Beaver, while he attended Haskell and married in 1977.
He was employed as an automotive mechanic in his early years. He later became a driver delivering auto supplies. He enjoyed listening to all genres of music, especially Elvis Presley. He loved to go eat at various restaurants. His passion was spending time with his family.

Pallbearers are Owen Lee Hawzipta, Alexander Hawzipta, Michael Preslopski, Kelly Jones, Owen Jones, Jose’ Moreno Jr and Corey Collins.
Viewing will begin at 3pm. Wake service will be held October 10, 2017 at 7pm at Otoe-Missouria Tribal Complex in Red Rock, Oklahoma. Thomas Morris will officiate. A traditional ceremony with meal will be held at the same location Wednesday October 11, 2017 at 12pm. Burial will be in the Otoe-Missouria Cemetary. Services are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City, OK.
