Obituary for Charles Rush

Charles Edward Rush of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Monday evening, December 8, 2014, at his home in Blackwell at the age of 52 years.
Charles Edward Rush was born on May 19, 1962, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Willie Fay and Roberta Lee (McGill) Rush. He grew up in Blackwell attending Blackwell Public Schools. Following his education he began working in the oilfields of Kay County for Chase. He later worked for Electron Corporation, Carbon Black in Ponca City and as a mechanic for Driskoll Company. He also worked for a company which installed pole barns. He was noted as a handyman who could fix anything. He enjoyed computers, hunting, fishing and camping.
He is survived by his mother, Roberta Rush of Blackwell; a daughter, Shantel Spracklin of Blackwell; three sisters, Sally Delaney of Ponca City, Susan Marshall of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Barbara Fairchild of Blackwell; a brother, Mark Brittain of Blackwell; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 13th in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell with Chaplain Tom Howard of Hospice of North Central Oklahoma officiating. Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. in the Maramec Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Jason Murray, Scott Ford, Fred Heath, Antonio Panda, Carl Larssen and M. J. Nash. Honorary Casketbearers will be B. J. Testa, Tyler Testa, Bryson Holeman, A. J. Caldwell, Robert Fairchild, Daniel Rush, Kenny Brittain, Matt Emerine, Jeremiah Marshall, Ryan Loveall and Jay Stees.
A memorial has been established in his honor with Hospice of North Central Oklahoma in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
