Charla Sue Gooden of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Wednesday morning, July 19, 2017, in the Blackwell Regional Hospital at the age of 62 years.
Charla Sue Gooden was born on April 1, 1955, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Charles Allen and Juanita Joy (Anson) Eudaily. She grew up in Blackwell and graduated from Blackwell High School in 1973. Following her education she began working at Grave’s Drug Store. She married Jimmy Dale Gooden on November 21, 1974, in Wellington, Kansas, and they settled in Blackwell where she served her family as a homemaker. In 1975, she moved to Germany to join her husband where he had be deployed and was stationed. In 1977, the couple returned to Blackwell to make their home. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Veteran of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and Fur Kids. She enjoyed her many church activities and caring for animals, especially her dog.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Gooden of Blackwell; a daughter, Crystal Gooden of Blackwell; and a brother, Allen Eudaily of Blackwell.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, James Allen Eudaily.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 24th in the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Karen Rogers officiating.
