Obituary for Cathy Pendleton

Cathy Marie Pendleton of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Sunday evening, August 31, 2014, in the Ponca City Medical Center at the age of 62 years.
Cathy Marie Pendleton was born on August 16, 1952, in Blackwell to Roland Phillip and Ellen Beulah (Westervelt) Bufford. As a young girl she moved with her family to Wichita, Kansas. Following the death of her father, they returned to Blackwell where she attended Blackwell Public Schools. Following her education she worked as the office manager for McDonald Electric in Ponca City before working as a waitress. She married Terry L. Pendleton on February 26, 1989, in Blackwell and they made Blackwell their home. She later worked for the Blackwell Journal Tribune and in home health care. She was a member of the Victory Fellowship Church in Blackwell. She enjoyed fishing and assisting others with their needs.
She is survived by husband, Terry Pendleton of Blackwell; two daughters, Sheila Brewer and Melissa Huster both of Blackwell; three sons, Zachary Collyar of Ponca City, Terry Pendleton and Cory Pendleton of Blackwell; three sisters, Louise Byers of Tonkawa, Ilene Epperly of Donna, Texas, and Shirley Hansen of Tonkawa; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Roxanne Cooley and Donna Pendleton; and a brother, Butch Bufford.
Family visitation will be Wednesday evening, September 3rd, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a celebration of life service to be held at the family home at a later date.
