Obituary for Bruce Kennedy

Bruce L. Kennedy, resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He was 79.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, June 19, 2015 at Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Tom Howard officiating. Burial will then follow at the Longwood Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Casketbearers will be Aaron Reagan, Jason Barrows, Jamison Burns, Stacy Burns, Deputy Chief Mike Garcia, and Chief John Whitham. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Bruce was born on June 7, 1936 to Eugene Kennedy and Willa V. Jeffcoat in Fostoria, TX. He married Clara Hettenbach on March 4, 1961 in Pawnee, Oklahoma. They have been married for fifty-four years. He was hired by Southwestern Bell on February15, 1959 as a Stockman in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Bruce retired in Ponca City, Oklahoma on December 30, 1991 after finalizing his career as Area Manager in the Southwestern Bell Engineering Design Sector.

Bruce enjoyed spending most of his time with family and working around the house.

He is survived by Wife, Clara "Teak" Kennedy who was the love of his life, daughters, Traci Reagan of Dallas, Texas, and Suzanne Burns and husband Stacy of Tonkawa, Oklahoma. His five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
