Billie Colleen Taylor
(November 14, 1930 – November 20, 2015)
Billie Colleen Taylor, 85, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 at her daughter and son-in-law’s home in Ponca City. She was born on November 14, 1930 to Frank E. and Geneva M. (Brooks) Weber. Billie was raised in Ponca City and graduated from high school in 1949. She married Don Taylor on July 7, 1950 in the First United Methodist Church. Throughout her life, Billie worked as a receptionist for Nickles Machine and as a secretary for Ted Wilkerson Company. She loved working with children and enjoyed her job as a substitute teacher for Ponca City Schools. She enjoyed water sports and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Women of the Moose, and American Legion.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Hinch and husband Neil, five grandchildren, Haley Bowhay, Jaryd Hinch, Jennifer (Hinch) Sellers, Amanda Hinch, and Justin Hinch, and four great-grandchildren, Taylor Hinch, Kaybree Veasey, Myleigh Webb, and Misha Sellers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Don, her twin sister, Betty Faken, and her brother, Frank Weber.
Billie will be available for viewing Sunday, November 22, 2015 until 8:00 p.m. and Monday, November 23, 2015 until 8:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be at Trout Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
