Beverly Jean Taylor of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away Friday evening, October 28, 2022, in the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 80 years.
Beverly Jean (Love) Taylor was born on September 16, 1942, in Ponca City to Kenneth Hartsel Love and Oranna Pauline (Carpenter) Love. She grew up in Red Rock, OK spending a lot of her childhood in her grandfather’s hardware store. She attended Red Rock schools her entire life, and upon graduation moved to Ponca City, OK. During her first summer in Ponca City, she worked at the local hospital for a short time before meeting her future husband. Allen and Beverly were married on May 13, 1961, and made their home in Blackwell, OK where they started a family and grew their farming operation. She spent her time raising her family, helping her husband on the farm, and enjoying life, and in the second half of life enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beverly had four sons Mike, Danny, Ken, and Todd. Mike and Ken continue to operate the family Farm and Danny and Todd both pursued law enforcement careers. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church.
Beverly is survived by her four sons, Michael Taylor and wife Amber of Blackwell, Danny Taylor and wife Alicia of Wichita, Kansas, Ken Taylor of Blackwell, and Todd Taylor and wife Cindi of Skiatook, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren, Kari Kelly and husband Matt of Dallas, TX, Brian Taylor of Dallas, TX, Olivia Taylor of Blackwell, OK, Preston Kesinger of Ponca City, OK, Emily Kesinger of Ponca City, OK, Courtney and Sara Taylor of Wichita, KS, and Emily, Anna, and Evan Taylor of Skiatook, OK; great grandchildren Kruz, Karsyn, and Colt; and her “Bonus children”, Jodi Weyers and Benji Evans. Her brother and “forever sister” Kenneth and Virginia Love.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 57 years, Allen Taylor.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 3rd in the First Free Will Baptist Church in Blackwell with Rev. Kevin Bookout officiating. Burial will follow in the Braman Cemetery with Rev. Jim Stratton of Riveted Church in Skiatook officiating.
Casketbearers will be Mark Love, Larry Love, Rick Love, Evan Taylor, Brian Taylor, Benji Evans, Derry Johns and D. J. Johns. Honorary casketbearers are Rick Dalton and Cliff Dalton.
