Beverly Sue Anderson

July 9, 1945 – May 18, 2022

Beverly Sue Anderson, a resident of Ponca City, passed away May 18th, 2022, at the age of 76.

Beverly (known as “Susie” to her family and friends) was born on July 9th, 1945, to Roy T. Anderson and Edith I. Hadley in Stillwater. After spending her early childhood in Stillwater, the family moved to Kansas City where Beverly continued her schooling, graduating from North Town High School in the spring of 1963. After a brief marriage to Don Weeks, she moved with the family to Southern California in the fall of 1964. After a year in California, the family moved back to Stillwater, where Beverly would call home until moving to Ponca City in December of 2016.

Beverly held numerous jobs over the years, most notably for the Navy Reserve office, Oklahoma State University Food Service, and the American Red Cross. She became a loving and devoted mother on October 23rd, 1971, when her eldest son Sean was born. On February 14th, 1977, she gave birth to her second son, Shane.

Beverly’s number one job was being a mother to her two sons to which she passed along her natural gifts of love, compassion, sense of humor, and her gentle nature.

Beverly is survived by her sister, Jean Ann Hill of Grand Rapids, Michigan, brother Keith Anderson of Stillwater, sister Kelli Anderson-Campbell of Stillwater, son Sean Anderson of Ponca City, Granddaughters Amber Eakins of Weathorford, and Courtney Anderson of Blackwell, along with great grandchildren Noah, Raegan, Oliver, and Phoebe, and numerous cousins, other family and friends. She’s preceded in death by her son, Shane Anderson, mom, dad, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022, from 9am to 8pm with family greeting guests from 5-8pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 2:00pm at Dighton Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery.
