March 24, 1934 – October 26, 2018
Bennie Lee Fahrenholtz, resident of Kay City, Oklahoma, passed away on October 26, 2018. He was 84 years old.
A family visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Trout Funeral Home & Crematory in Ponca City. There will be no formal funeral ceremony but rather a time for family and friends to pay their respects, say their “good byes” to Ben, and share their memories and stories.
Bennie was born on March 24, 1934 in Garden City, Kansas to his parents, George and Vivian Fahrenholtz. After graduating from Dighton High School in 1952, Ben joined the U.S. Navy as a Steam Boiler Engineer (Fireman). He maintained active duty until 1956 when he joined the reserves for an additional two years. He worked as a Heating and Cooling Technician before retiring in 1996. Ben’s life passions were family, hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Pauleta of the home, children, Curtis Fahrenholtz, Calvin Fahrenholtz and wife Judy, and Carol Fahrenholtz all of Denver Colorado, and Craig Fahrenholtz and wife Susan of Port Angeles, Washington, sisters, Eileen Moore of Broken Arrow, OK and Phyllis Church of Texas, brother, Al Housman of Carrollton TX, 8 grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and many extended family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents, George and Vivian Fahrenholtz and his son, Mike Fahrenholtz.
