August 28, 1929 – September 21, 2023

Bena Miller, 94, died of natural causes in the home of her daughter in Owasso, OK. Bena was born August 28, 1929 in Canyon City, CO, the daughter of Elesio and Adrianna M. Lovato. Her family moved to Minturn, CO, in her early childhood and she graduated from Minturn High School.

A few years after graduation, Bena met and married Marvin D. Miller Sr . They moved to Sand Springs, OK, in 1950 and remained in OK for the remainder of their 61 year marriage. Most of their married life was spent in Blackwell, OK, where Bena attended The Tabernacle Church. In 1970, They moved to the small farming community of Nardin, OK, near Blackwell, where Bena was employed as a contract Mail Clerk for the United States Postal service for 12 years. Her husband, Don, passed in June 2011, at which time she took up residence with her daughter in Owasso, OK, and remained there until her death. Bena spent a lifetime in service to God and was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother to her family.

In addition to her parents and Husband, Bena is preceded in death by: her sister, Lucy Boerrel; brothers, Hank Lovato, Joe Lovato and Fred Lovato; a daughter-in-law, Kim Miller, and a Grandson, Shane Miller.

Bena is survived by: sister, Margret Noriega; brothers, Robert and James Lovato; four children, daughter, Cynthia L Kelley and husband, Roger D., of Owasso, OK; three sons, Marvin D Miller Jr (Donnie) his wife, Charlie, of Aurora, CO, Kelley R Miller, of Stillwater, OK and Kahle T. Miller of Sulphur, LA.; seven grandchildren, Kasey L Kelley, Decky Timothy, Joshua Miller, Heather Rochelle, Ryan Miller, Hayley Marten and Bryan Miller. She also has twenty-two great grandchildren and two great-great Grandchildren and many, many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 2, 2023, at Mount Olive Cemetery in Nardin, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave., Ponca City, OK, 74601.
