Obituary for Anthony Looper

Anthony Paul “Tony” Looper of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Wednesday afternoon, July 9, 2014, in the Ponca City Medical Center at the age of 60 years.
Anthony Paul “Tony” Looper was born on October 17, 1953, in Blackwell to Thomas Paul and Sarah Jency (Anderson) Looper. He grew up in Blackwell and attended Blackwell Public Schools. Following his education he entered the Oklahoma National Guard. He later worked in the oilfields for various drilling companies. He also worked for Industrial Contractors and Fabricators and Industrial Contractors and Erectors. A job which took him to several states. He was a member of the Choctaw Nation. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, making and hunting arrowheads and all outdoor activities. He also enjoyed his many Labradors.
He is survived by his companion, Brenda Allen Warrior of Blackwell; a daughter, Sybil Sheets of Ponca City; five sons, Russell Looper, Rodney Looper, Joseph Looper, Jarad Looper and Lucius Holloman all of Blackwell; four brothers, Richard Looper, Phil Looper, Terry Looper and David Looper all of Blackwell; and fourteen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Thomas Looper; a son, Anthony Looper; and an infant daughter, Nanny Looper.
A noon feast is scheduled at the Tabernacle Annex with the service to follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Tabernacle with Rev. Cliff Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Russell Looper, Rodney Looper, Joseph Looper, Jarad Looper, Lucius Holloman, Eric Looper and Tyler Looper.
A memorial has been established in his honor with The Tabernacle in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
