Obituary for Alene Corbin

Alene Mae Corbin was called home on August 12, 2014, she was 82 years old.
Alene was born on March 20, 1932 to Cliff and Viola Edmonds in Marland, OK She worked on the family farm as a young girl. Alene graduated from Marland School where she was a drum majorette and she was also on the basketball team where they won the State Championship. She was in the 4-H Club where she won many awards. Alene also sang on the radio with her mother Viola. Alene married the love of her life Marvin Corbin, they were married fro 56 years. After retirement she enjoyed the simple things in life. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, working out in the yard with her husband Marvin planting flowers in the garden they created together. She was a loving person and will be missed by all of her family and friends and everyone who knew her.
Alene was preceded in death by her parents Cliff and Viola Edmonds and husband Marvin Corbin.
She is survived by her brother, Charles Edmonds; Sisters, Polly Eaton, Carolyn Myers, Freda Harris, and Cathy Yount. Children, Michael Corbin and wife Vickie of Wichita, KS, Stacy Foreman and husband Tony of Wichita, KS; Cindy Corbin and husband Jason Gober of Haven, KS. Alene has 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren and one very special child Gage Gober.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are made under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.
