Albert Jones Jr.

(May 2, 1961 – December 24, 2016)

Albert James Lee Jones Jr. was born on May 2, 1961 in Altus, Oklahoma. He was the son of Albert James Lee Jones Sr. and Barbara Gail McGinnis. He spent most of his life caring for his aunt, Carol Kerr, and her Morgan horses. He graduated from Douglas Byrd High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina after attending schools in Friendship, Oklahoma and Germany. He lived in Colorado and Texas and only moved to Blackwell in 2015. He spent time in the military at Fort Carson, Colorado and was discharged due to an injury.

Albert enjoyed going on annual farm harvesting. He was an accomplished mechanic and tinkerer. He loved walking around town, picking up cans and talking with whomever he came upon.

Albert passed on from his family and friends on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at his home on West Dewey at the age of 55 years, 7 months, and 22 days.

Survivors include his father, Albert James Lee Jones Sr.; his stepmother, Margaret Jones; brother, Madison Alva Jones; stepsisters, Frankie Boyd and Linda Gilbert; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Gail McGinnis; brother Jesse Lee Jones; stepbrothers, John Mitchell Boyd and James Lester Boyd; grandparents, Lillian Mae McGinnis, Alva Lee Jones, and Eva Lee Jones.
