Andrew Joseph "Joe" Reinert, II, 86, of Ponca City, OK, went to be with the Lord on January 15, 2025. He will be missed! Viewing with family present will be between 4:00 and 8:00 PM, Friday, January 24, 2025, at Trout Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 25, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Carson Krittenbrink officiating. Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Joe was born in Enid, OK, on Friday, February 11, 1938. The family then moved to Portland, OR, where he attended Catholic Kindergarten. The family moved back to Enid, OK, and then onto Fairmont, OK. He graduated from Pioneer High School, one of nine students to graduate that year. Joe met the love of his life, Alma Fuksa, at a polka dance while in high school. Joe then attended college at Oklahoma A&M (now OSU), graduating with a B.S. degree in Chemistry. While attending college, Joe and Alma married on August 13, 1960. They had 4 daughters. After graduation, Joe began his career with Phillips in Bartlesville, OK.

He later obtained a Law Degree from Tulsa University at night, while Alma took care of the kids and household. Joe and the family then moved to Ponca City for his first job as a Patent Attorney with Conoco. Three years later, Joe took a job with City Services in Tulsa and the family lived in Bixby, OK. After 3 years, Joe took a job with Conoco again in Ponca City as a patent attorney. As a patent attorney, Joe was instrumental on several key patents concerning off shore platforms. In 1993, he retired from Conoco to pursue his passion of farming, especially pecans. During all these years, he was supported by his wife Alma. Alma and Joe moved to their farmhouse in 1985. Joe has been a lifelong faithful Catholic and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Joe is survived by: his wife, Alma Reinert; daughters, Annette Merritt and her husband, Jerry, Babette Rollins and her husband, Jim, Dottie Williams and her husband, John; three grandchildren, Bruce Vanover II, Olivia Dudick and her husband, Sumner, and Drew Williams; three brothers, John Reinert and his wife, Mollie, Jim Reinert and his wife, Anita, and Jerry Reinert and his wife, Carol. He is preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Emma Reinert, and his youngest daughter, Ginger Bagley.
