India Janee Poore

India Janee Poore, 41 years old, passed away on February 6, 2025. She was born on February 11, 1983, in Ponca City, Oklahoma to James Vincent Poore and Sandra Sue (Murray) King. Her paternal grandparents were Sidney and Janee Poorehorse. Her maternal grandparents were Robert Murray Sr. and Virginia Murray.
She graduated from Frontier Public Schools in 2001. The love of her life was Johnny Lee Poore Sr. who greeted her in heaven. She enjoyed listening to music and doing her makeup. She had a big heart and always opened her home to anyone who needed help. She enjoyed being a cashier until she became a stay-at-home mom in which she loved and enjoyed. Her children were her pride and joy, and she loved them with all her heart. India was currently enrolled at UMA where she had 3 weeks left before graduating with her medical coding. Her favorite thing was spending time with her grandbabies Zaia Hazel Poore and James Vincent Poore Jr.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children Jareth, Johnny, Nyssa, Sioux Storm, and Eveline Rojas. As well as her brother Murray Otter King and many other family members who loved her dearly.
Services for India will take place on Monday, February 10, 2025, 2 p.m., at the Ponca Cultural Center; burial will follow at the Ponca Tribal Cemetery.
