Stella Mae Weeks Rowland, 87, of Tonkawa, OK, left this life on Friday, February 28, 2025. Viewing will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Sunday, March 2, 2025, and 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, Monday, March 3, 2025 at Trout Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, March 3, 2025, at Trout Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Burial will immediately follow at IOOF Cemetery. Stella was born on Tuesday, December 7, 1937, in Pottawatomie, OK, to Issac Peter and Mary Margaret (Delonais) Wano.
Stella married Jerry Weeks Sr. on April 11, 1956 and resided in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. Jerry Weeks Sr. passed away on January 28, 1969. Stella remained in Tonkawa until moving to Oklahoma City for several years before returning back to Tonkawa, Oklahoma.
Stella then married Tommy Lee Rowland of Oklahoma City on November 26, 1986 and remained married to him until his passing on November 14, 2018. She worked as a receptionist at her brothers body shop for many years.After retiring, she enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society and was very much involved in Edmond Senior Center. Stella got great joy from her grandkids and great grandkids. Her great grandkids knew her as Gigi. Stella was an avid OU fan. She loved her Sooners. She returned to Blackwell in 2018, then resided at the Renaissance of Ponca City until the time of her death.
Stella is survived by: her children, Jerry Dean Weeks, Jr. and John (Max) Whittamore of Blackwell, OK, Janet Lee Weeks Young and her husband, Merle, of Porter, TX, Janell Lynn Weeks Beliel and her husband, Tom, of Blackwell, OK; grandchildren Mindy Lee Young Henson and her husband, Toby, of Stephenville, TX, Tabitha Lynn Beliel & spouse, Carmen Crisp-Obenhaus, of Naples, FL, Tiffany Mae Coggins of Blackwell, OK; great-grandchildren, Cash Henson, Palin Henson, Marshall Coggins, Moslee Coggins, Maverick Coggins; brothers, Gary Wano of Oklahoma City, OK, Roger Wano of Tonkawa, OK; brother-in-law Bob Weeks, Jeb Hunter; sister-in-laws, Roxie Wano, Ginger Hunter, Dorothy Wano and Laurie Caywood and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Stella is preceded in death by: her husbands, Jerry Dean Weeks, Sr. and Tommy Lee Rowland; her parents, Issac and Margaret; siblings, Larry Wano, Joe Wano, Pete Wano, Geneva Wano and Rosemary Young; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Wano, Shirley Wano, Leona Wano and Rhody Wano.
Pallbearers will be Dale Wano, Gary Wano Jr., Larry Wano Jr., Robert Wano, James Morris, Roger (Bucky) Wano Jr., Cash Henson, and Marshall Coggins.
