Denise Rene Gibbs
August 1, 1980 — January 7, 2025
On August 1, 1980 in Ponca City, Oklahoma the lives of Raymond Clifford Pollard and Sherri Yvonne Williams-Pollard were blessed with a beautiful bouncing bundle of joy. This precious baby girl was given the name of Denise Rene Pollard.
Denise attended the Ponca City Public School system and graduated from Ponca City High School with the class of 1998. She later attended classes at OSU Campus in Okmulgee, Oklahoma for Catering and Hospitality.
She worked for the Hammock Enterprises until her health did not permit.
At times she fellowshipped with the Saint John Baptist Church in Ponca City, Oklahoma under the leadership of Reverend Raymond Pettis.
On October 14, 2010 she married Robert Gibbs and together they became the proud parents of three children.
Denise was mercenary that would help anyone that needed her assistance. She would stand boldly with a person in good and bad times. If you wronged a person she loved, get ready because Denise is coming. She loved deeply and truly cared for her children. The sky had no limits for the love she shared toward her two grandchildren. Her family knew of her love and when she was upset. There was nothing that she wouldn’t do for her family. She loved her husband and adored her father.
From the time of birth, a place of rest had been prepared for Denise. On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, God dispatched His angel to remove her from our midst. Denise said goodbye to us, only to be reunited with her mother; Sherri Yvonne Williams-Pollard.

Two beautiful daughters; Nijah (Coner Cummings) Johnson and Nyree (Montreal Fair) Johnson both of Ponca City, Oklahoma. Her loving father; Raymond Clifford Pollard of Ponca City, Oklahoma. One brother; Raymond C. (Sandra) Pollard Jr., of Ponca City, Oklahoma. Three sisters; Syrah E. Pollard of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Ramonda C. (Josh) Mowdy of Greeley, Colorado and Rashawna D. Pollard of Edmond, Oklahoma. A special niece\daughter; Makhenna Pollard of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. One beautiful granddaughter; Nova Renee Anson Johnson of Ponca City, Oklahoma. One handsome grandson; Luxxen Zephania Meechie Fair of Ponca City, Oklahoma. Two brothers in love; Roosevelt Gibbs of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Herbert Coles of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Two sisters in love; Rosetta Harding of Columbus, Missouri and Carolyn Gibbs-Dale of Saint Joseph, Missouri. Her aunts and uncles; Jimmye Pollard Jr., Steven (Pamela) Pollard, Louis (Cindy) Pollard, Mary (Carl) Davis, Ann Pollard, Butch Edward Pollard, Susan Pollard, Donna Springsteen, Penoila Pollard, Regina Gates, Valerie Abington, Deborah (Larry Lee) Williams, Lacretia Lambert, Angela Bobb and Theresa Rolland. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
A viewing for Denise will take place on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 2:00 to 6:00pm at Grace Memorial Chapel in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 17th, 2025, 2:00pm, at the Attucks Community Center.
