Deborah Inez Gardner, 73, of Newkirk, OK, died Monday, January 27, 2025. Viewing will be from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 6, 2025, and from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday, February 7, 2025, at Trout Funeral Home. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the First United Methodist Church. Burial will immediately follow at Newkirk Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.
Deborah was born on Friday, December 7, 1951, in Ponca City, OK, to Richard Michael and Lola Inez (Chapin) Horinek. Growing up she helped with eleven siblings, getting them ready for school and every day duties around the house. She graduated in 1970, from Newkirk high school and fell in love with Russell Gardner and got married on June 30, 1972. Deborah loved to find the best deals at thrift shops and hit every garage sale she could. She was a very giving person who loved unconditionally especially her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. She also loved spoiling the farm animals.
Deborah is survived by her son, Tony Gardner and his wife, Lindsay, of Newkirk, OK; grandchildren, Austin Gardner, Raylee Gardner, Kambree Gardner, Haven Gardner, and Laykin Neal.; sisters, Connie Engle of Oklahoma City, OK, Pam Shire of Lamont, OK, Angela Mefford of Ponca City, OK, Christa Greer of Newkirk, OK, Tina Eckert of Newkirk, OK; and brother, Douglas Horinek of Sand Springs, OK. She is preceded in death by her husband Russell Gardner; her parents; brothers, Michael Horinek, Jeff Horinek, Randy Horinek, Timmy Horinek, and Terry Horinek.
Pallbearers will be Tony Gardner, Austin Gardner, Raylee Gardner, Kambree Gardner, Matt Horinek and Kelly Horinek. Honorary Pallbearers will be Doug Horinek, Ronnie Greer, and Dusty Eckert.
