BLACKWELL — Alliance Medical Group, formerly Blackwell Medical Group, announces that Sarah-Beth McGuire, APRN, has joined the clinic staff and is now accepting appointments.

McGuire is from Blackwell, but has been practicing in West Virginia since 2013. She recently moved back to Blackwell and is excited to start seeing patients in her hometown. She is trained to treat patients who are 12 years and older. She will focus on health promotion, disease prevention, health education and counseling as well as the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases.

An advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) is a registered nurse with a Master’s degree in nursing. APRNs are prepared by education and certification to assess, diagnose, and manage patient problems, order tests, and prescribe medications. She received her basic nursing training at Northwestern Oklahoma State University and her advanced training at Vanderbilt University.

"We are pleased to have Sarah-Beth as a provider at Alliance Medical Group,” said AllianceHealth Blackwell CEO Andy Wachtel. “Having an additional clinician on staff will allow the clinic to serve more patients and provide primary care services to Blackwell and surrounding communities.”

McGuire enjoys serving her community and spends many hours away from work volunteering. She has helped the Blackwell Fire Department with its Toys for Tots collection, served as a volunteer nurse at the Blackwell Free Clinic and provided blood pressure screenings for the Blackwell Senior Center.

She is also a member of several nursing organizations including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Oklahoma Nurse Practitioner’s Association and Sigma Theta Tau, the Honor Society of Nursing.

McGuire is now accepting new patients at the Blackwell clinic, 1005 W. Doolin Avenue. To schedule an appointment, call (580) 363-3288 or visit www.blackwellmedicalgroup.com to request an appointment online.
