NOC to honor Two with Alumni Awards

Dr. Gordon S. Laird of Morrison and M. Scott Carter of Oklahoma City will each receive the 2016 Northern Oklahoma College Distinguished Alumni Award.

The award recognizes the achievements of former students whose personal lives, professional achievements and community service exemplify the objectives of the college.

Laird, Class of 1962, earned an Associate of Science degree in Pre-Medicine, and Carter, Class of 1983, earned an Associate of Arts degree in Journalism.

The two honorees will be inducted into the NOC Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame during ceremonies at the annual Alumni and Friends banquet April 9 at the Renfro Center at NOC in Tonkawa.
